It is so riddled with inaccuracies and so amateurish that I do not understand how people abide by the score. Yet I keep getting requests for +K

If your score is 16, then people will think less of you. No matter how you feel about that. It’s a fact.”

Seriously?  You really think people think LESS of you if your Klout score is low?  That is ridiculous!

I agree with you. Klout measures quantity of post but not quality of post. But in building relationship, quality is very important.

It tries to measure influence which is tries to do by seeing the number of mentions you get or comments you get on FB. It fails dismally. It may well be because the API of  FB, Twitter and LinkedIn are limited in scope, but @Klout is not accurate at all. @kloutsupport is dismally amateurish.

Klout support themselves told me that it is not affected by +K. BTW Facebook does not work and Twitter and Klout are riddled with bugs.

Tumblr connections are still being tested to they don’t contribute to the Klout score right now. Facebook profiles, Twitter, foursquare, LinkedIn/Google+ personal profiles are the only networks that contribute to the Score. You can read more about how the Score is calculated athttp://klout.com/#/understand/score.

Giving people K’s has no effect on Klout score, so why do you recommend that? I truly want to know – I don’t understand why people bother.

However the product is so riddled with bugs that the score is erroneous and erratic. Many of my colleagues opted out already. After multiple support conversations, I also finally gave in and opted out.
