  3. This is an awesome calendar of social media events! One event I recently attended focused on the uses of social media in small businesses. One of the more interesting topics covered was the social media implications for online ticketing services. People have become more and more skeptical about businesses and the ticketing marketplace is no different. For this reason, social media like Facebook and Twitter is a great way for people to confer and interact and discuss services they like and don't like. A company I intern for called Ticketbud (” target=”_blank”>” target=”_blank”>( utilizes social media like Facebook and Twitter to make selling tickets online easier and more consumer friendly. After interning, I saw firsthand the power of social media to expand a business and instilled in me the importance of the internet and social media in event promotion and ticket sales.
